نبذة نيل وفرات:This is the 13th Arab Economic Report, which represents a massive effort for surveying economic developments in the Arab countries during 1997-2000. Over the years, this Report has developed as a major source of information and data on the Arab economies, and hence became as indispensable reference for economists, ...businessmen and researchers in the Arab world and outside. The country approach on which the Report is based provides an opportunity to compare developments amongst the Arab countries and to highlight the ways in which they converge and diverge economically.
It is important to mention that Report is based on various national, regional and international sources of information and data released by official sources statistical departments. Comparative figures and information are usually provided to put facts within the perspective of general developments.
The introductory study on the Arab Challenges and the Global System at the outset of the Report brings into focus the emerging economic trends in the Arab countries and how globalization is bringing about national and regional transformations in the Arab world.
