The pattern of narrative composition in the construction and analysis of the literary travel discourse between th 10th and 12th hijri centuries

نبذة الناشر:In this study, we aim to explore the journey of "Shihab al-Din al-Maqri al-Tlemceni" (992 AH - 1041 AH) in his book "Nafh al-Tayyib min Ghusn al-Andalus al-Ratib" and the book "Azhar al-Riyadh fi Akhbar al-Qadi Iyad, and What Is Appropriate for It That Brings Comfort and Relaxation," as well ...as the journey of "Al-Husayn al-Warthilani" (1125 AH/1193 AH) in his book "Nuzhat al-Anzar fi Fadl Ilm al-Tarikh wal-Akhbar." What interests us in this study is these two books in order to apply the technique of critical analysis and comparative reading, as well as the method of intertextuality, or what is known in Arab criticism as "quoting and embedding," which is a modern critical term. The comparison is between the two journeys in terms of form, content, style, and the goal of the journeys, offering a simplified reading and revealing the overlap of various literary genres that "literary travel literature" has mixed with and used by writers in different genres and forms, such as poetry and prose.
