General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and President of the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR), the ECSSR organized its First Annual Conference on Education, under the title: "Education ...in the UAE: Current Status and Future Development" from October 5-6, 2010, at the Center in Abu Dhabi.The conference addressed the strategies and policies of education in the UAE, the challenges facing school and university education, and quality criteria as represented by educational curricula and education staff. The conference also dealt with general decline in the use of Arabic language, as well as the weak supervision at lower stages of education and paucity of specialization in higher education.The conference concluded its proceedings with a discussion on the ways to bridge gaps and drew a future vision for development of education in the United Arab Emirates. إقرأ المزيد
