نبذة الناشر:While descriptive novels are relatively easy and fluid to translate, the translator can easily translate a specific event or related events into a second language, taking into account other considerations, such as the interconnectedness between the two languages.
In "Son of Heaven," however, the text takes you to symbolic, historical, social, ...or political dimensions, and then suddenly descends into the depths of reality, a reality that can only be grasped by a translator fully aware of the story's setting, the sincerity of the feelings, and the depth and hidden meaning intended by the author.
The meaning lies within the text, not on the surface; here, some carefully calculated intervention by the translator is required to convey the meaning in the second language more realistically than as an inverted or imaginary image, as is usually the case with mirror images. Here, it may be necessary to add or delete some words to match the intended meaning in the second language.
"Son of Heaven" is closer to prose poetry, written in an innovative way that leaves the reader perplexed until they finish reading the entire text, so that the meaning becomes clear and comprehensible. إقرأ المزيد
