The examples, arranged in approximate Arabic alphabetical-and-root order are given in both Arabic script and transliteration. In this way those who know ...no Arabic script will have an accurate guide to pronunciation and, it is to be hoped, will be simulated to learn the script. Those who can already read Arabic should find the transliteration of value where (unvowelled) Arabic is inadequate to render the colloquial pronunciation.
The section on meaning and usage attempts to explain in simple terms how the examples given are to be used. Such explanations, clearly, could well be much longer. The aim has been to present the truth, although what is presented may in some cases not be the whole truth. إقرأ المزيد
