نبذة الناشر:Religious diplomacy has become an essential tool in UAE foreign policy. The UAE has sponsored various platforms, fora, awards and initiatives to consolidate tolerance, co-existence and interfaith dialogue, and to foster diversity and human fraternity.
The work of religious diplomacy revolves around making concerted efforts to ensure that religion serves as ...a genuine and dynamic catalyst for peace, progress and prosperity.
Scholar Abdallah bin Bayyah affirms that “religion can always be a part of the solution, not a part of the problem…The key factor in this equation lies in religious, spiritual and intellectual leadership, which bears the responsibility of finding the most appropriate interpretation of religion. Religions, by their nature, embody benevolence, mercy, wisdom, justice and benefit.”
The added value that religious diplomacy might offer lies in its focus on the need for and importance of “humanizing” both religious discourse and politics simultaneously. As the Holy Quran says: “But what benefits people remains on the earth.”
This publication aims to achieve success through a systematic and objective approach that sheds light on the importance and role of religious diplomacy in reducing tensions and solving conflicts. Its ultimate goal is to foster shared interests among mankind and reduce obstacles and sources of conflict among them.
