نبذة نيل وفرات: The original purpose of this research was to collect base line date on the preschool child in Lebanon as a reference guide for social and educational planners. A strategy for research was developed to enable the research team in identifying the growth patterns of preschool children in the ...various human settlements within the country, and to secure information on priority needs of specific areas.
The strategy was then tested to determine whether it was capable of discerning significant differences and sufficiently universal to form the basic for a national survey.
The result of the pilot study revealed the existence of differences among the areas studied with respect to community characteristics, family competition and structure, parent-child interaction, child’s development patterns and other attributes of the family and environment.
The finding of this survey give a partial view of the situation in 1975, on the eve of the catacchsym that have ravaged the country. New demographic and social problems have emerged as a result of the war, but the findings of the present study may serve as a point of reference for the evaluations of the present situation.
On other outcome of this study has been to confirm the validity of the strategy in assessing children’s needs highlighting the interaction affecting the child’s development in the community and the family. إقرأ المزيد
