I nick- named him the “cane- poet” – like his words and verses – he bends, but never breaks.
From the first ...reading, I thought it was simple and direct poetry. But I was wrong: Talhouk plays the flute poetry that turns into echoing symphonies about the human self, God and existence.
In this introduction to this collection, Naim Talhouk wrote: “… I know no fear for a human being greater than knowing himself, because – any human being – has “godly” inclination towards greatness and immortality, and he is by instinct or by practice or by nomination is being haunted by the fear from tomorrow..
