نبذة الناشر:A basic Course in Gulf Arabic is a language course based on the dialect of Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. as modified by the dialects of Bahrain and Qatar. It comprises forty-two lessons with a vocabulary of about 1,400 items selected from a frequency word list which had been compiled from spontaneous ...conversations of unsophisticated Gulf Arabs. The dialogs cover a wide variety of subjects of interest: greeting, getting acquainted, directions, shopping, banking, mailing letters, etc. A typical lesson contains:
-A dialog or narrative built around a single topic of interest,
-vocabulary items in the dialog or narrative,
-additional vocabulary items,
-notes on pronunciation featuring difficult sounds,
-new grammatical points, and
-drills providing practice in using the items in each lesson.
