These years of experience, 1978-2022 are behind the achievements of the author’s 25 publications, including three-book series entitled; Arabic for American University Students, published by Person, New York 2015, in three volumes. Also, the co-authored book entitled; Medical Arabic, published by Routledge, 2022 London, and New York.
Arabic predominantly requires theoretical approaches and a variety of practical works to point out the great concepts involved effectively to build resiliency and foster equality for all learners.
So, Functional Arabic Workbook is designed to be comprehensive in presentation and an integrated source for both learners and instructors. It is prepared to be intensive functional applications for a deeper understanding of the coherent system of Arabic and how this language works appropriately. What makes it different from other workbooks out there, even though they are sporadic, is its various easy-to-understand approach exercises covering classical and modern Arabic culture.
Moreover, it does not force the student to memorize boring grammar rules.

Abdulqadir A. Abdulkarim (PhD. University of Glasgow, The United Kingdom) is a professor of Applied Linguistics. He has taught Arabic courses at Wayne State University of Michigan-Dearborn (UMD), and Henry Ford College in the United States of American. He has also taught undergraduate and supervised post-graduate studies in Iraq, Jordan, and the Sultanate of Oman for over thirty-five years. His research areas cover applied linguistic, learning Arabic for Specific Purposes, and Arabic as a Foreign and Heritage Language. He published 25 books in different matters of Arabic Applied Linguistics, including his recent three-book series entitled Arabic for American University Students, published by Pearson, 2015 in three volumes, his co-authored textbook. Medical Arabic, published by Routledge, 2020.
Moreover, his two integral poetical works, The Songs of the Seven Voyages and The Throne and Deluge, published in October 2021, raised multiple issues relating to imagery, myth, emotion, and other pertinent matters.
