نبذة نيل وفرات:Islam urges Muslims to get married by virtue of the instinct approach between a man and a woman. This is referred to in his Almighty saying “And marry those among you who are single and also marry pious, fit and capable ones of your male salves and maid-servants (females ...slaves) if they be poor, Allah will enrich them out of his bounty and Allah is all sufficient for his creatures needs, all – knowing about the state of the people” (Al-Nur, verse 32).
Accordingly marriage insn’t an obligation as for Judaism. It’s also not safe and good to be single throughout life.
Thus, agreement between Islam and Judaism concerning marriage is that it’s advisable for people to get married and it’s not obligatory. In contrast Christianity sees that bachelorship is much better as a means to get into the kingdom of the Lord. Islam differs from Judaism concerning to marriage in that the former doesn’t put financial capacity as a condition of marriage as mentioned in his Almighty saying “If they are poor, Allah will enrich them out of bounty”.
Islamic and Jewish thinking of marriage comes together at the point of social conformity where it’s ascertained that kind men are for kind women.
This book states the difference in the issues of marriage engagement, and divorce between the three religions: Islam, Christianity and Judaism.
