نبذة نيل وفرات:Law, body of official rules and regulation, generally found in constitutions, legislation, judicial opinions, and the like, that is used to govern a society and to control the behavior of its members. The nature and functions of law have varied throughout history.
In modern societies, some authorized body such as ...legislature or a court makes the law. It is backed by the coercive power of the state, which enforces the law by means of appropriate penalties of remedies.
Formal legal rules and actions are usually distinguished from other means of social control and guides of behavior such as mores, morality, public opinion, and custom or tradition. Of course, a lawmaker may respond to public opinion or other pressures, and a formal law may prohibit what is morally unacceptable.
This book is written by Dr. Khalil Hussein in which it gives introduction to law, and its development. He started his look with a quick introduction to law and then he differentiated between public law and private law.
Then he divided his book in four chapters having these titles: chapter 1: history of jurisprudence, chapter 2: legal systems of the world, chapter 3: classification of sources of law, chapter 4: legal institution.
This book is an important reference for these that are interested in law. إقرأ المزيد
