The objectives of this book were to investigate the effect of using blended learning on EFL students’ oral skills and teacher and student perceptions of its utility and their suggestions to improve the use of BL in the Jordanian schools.
The book improves that BL ...enhanced the oral skills of students.
Second, EFL teachers played new roles while implementing BL to teach the oral skills.
The implementation of BL lessons occurred through three stages; pre-lab stage, lab stage, and post lab stage.
Third, EFL teachers’ perceptions indicated that they used the term supplement because they did not frequently replace face-to-face classes with online classes.
They supplemented clasess with interactive teaching pedagogy.
Fourth, the results of EFL students’ perceptions suggested that by combining elements of both face-to-face and only me courses, blended courses could create a positive learning environment.
Finally, the respondents suggested more training programs in the implementation of BL, financial support for schools to prepare a suitable infrastructure for the best implementation of BL.
Dr. Basmah Issa AlSaleem
Associate Professor of Curricula and Methods for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages TEFL, Director General and Founder of the International eTurn Foundation for Training and Educational Consultations in Jordan, is a Professor at Manara College, New Jersey / America, and President of the International Council for Teaching Arabic to Speakers of Other Languages in Jorden and a member of the Higher Committee of the Arab Impact Factor Project for Scientific Research of the Union of Arab Universities.
She is the winner of OBADA Scientific International Prize as a distinguished researcher in the year 2022.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature and a TEFL Master & Ph.D. from Yarmouk University / Jordan, specializing in curricula and methods for teaching English as a Foreign Language in 2010.
She holds a TESOL diploma from Columbia University in New York - the USA, in 2008, she has an American Professional Certificate for English Teachers from the School of International Teachers SIT in Vermont America 2012, she holds a child rights Diploma in education from Lund University in Sweden, has a leadership Diploma from Oregon University in America.
She has 12 years of experience teaching in several universities all over the world.
