نبذة نيل وفرات:The field of Arabic Grammar has for long been covered in English by classical references like W. Wright's '' A Grammar of the Arabic Language'' and the much more extensive ''Grammar of the Classical Arabic Language'' by M.S Howell- both of which, Like many other authoritative works, are too ...perplexing to beginners.
This ''Elementary Arabic- A Grammar'' might be looked upon as an abridgement or rather an introduction to the 3rd edition of Wright's masterly work; it even retains Wright's section numbers.

The present author, after many years of study, managed to 'put in' all grammatical material required in the grammatical analysis of a first reading book for English-speaking students of Arabic and to leave out everything else. This enabled him to come up with this brief bit practical guide- a distinguishing feature of which is that almost all of the syntax examples in in it are verses from the Koran.
''Elementary Arabic - A Grammar'' which is hereby published under the title''Pocket Arabic Grammar'' has been a useful instrument to many generations of English-speaking students of Arabic; and we are pleased to make this 'instrument' available to yet more such generations. إقرأ المزيد
